Parents/Families -The School Age Care program will be providing care for the School Year 2020/2021 beginning August 17. Regardless of which schedule option Muroc School District determines they will follow, the School Age Care Program is here for you! We will accommodate your family’s child care needs during our regular hours of operation, which are 0615 to 1800 Monday through Friday. The School Age Care Program Annex (SAC) is located at Building 6459, next to the Child Development Center, provides care for children ages 5-12. Kindergarten before and after school care is also provided at the SAC. We offer diverse activities from our affiliated organizations, Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) and 4-H (Head, Heart, Hands, and Health) to meet the needs and interests of Edward’s AFB youth. The school-age program offers childcare and transportation before school and after school. A USDA approved breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack are provided daily. The SAC Annex is equipped with a variety of activity rooms, playgrounds and an outdoor basketball court. The School-Age Program has been accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA). This national recognition shows our commitment to quality and continuous program improvement. The philosophy of the School-Age Program is based on the belief that all children are strong, powerful and competent individuals who are constantly learning and growing. The mission of the program is to provide a stimulating environment where children can explore, develop and learn at their own pace. Additionally, it is to provide a child-centered program in a warm, secure environment with love and good physical care. Each child has unique abilities that will be recognized and nurtured.
In order to request care please go to the website militarychildcare.com, create a profile, and request care. Our administrative staff will contact you when space is available. Once a space has been offered, please pick up the registration packet, completely fill them out in black ink, and call the program to make a registration appointment. All forms must be completed and turned in prior to enrollment, including the registration packet, current immunizations records and special needs/medication/allergy forms, if applicable. Priority eligibility and income must be verified. School-age fees are based on total family income and can be determined at time of registration.
